FACE IT!

My name is Matthew Ivan Cherry.
I am an artist fixated on the landscape of the face, head, body, and all that makes up a portrait and contributes to a dialogue on identity. I transcribe my responses and interpretation of what I observe through layers of colors and the sheer accumulation of marks which results in a pile of thoughts made manifest by considered and expressed responses of what I see...and what I don't.

PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT HEADS and/or FACES…from a frontal or close to frontal position. Drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, illustration, video, etc…are welcome. I will approve them IF I feel they contribute to the quality of images, artwork and dialogue…yes this is slightly snobbish…but well-intended.
